Each coin in the set is graded by PCGS Proof 69 Deep Cameo: 2005 - 5 Pound PCGS PR-69 DCAM (39.94 grams 22 karat gold), 2005 2 Pound PCGS PR69 DCAM (15.97 grams of 22 karat gold), 2005 Sovereign PCGS PR69 DCAM (7.98 grams of 22 karat gold) and 2005 1/2 Sovereign PCGS PR69 DCAM (3.99 grams of 22 karat gold). This set comes with an original sketch (not a reprint) of the coin design, signed by the artist Timonty Noad  himself which is rare.   This set also includes the box as issued by the Royal Mint with the COA booklet. This auction is for a 1986 United Kingdom Gold Proof Sovereign Coin.  The Royal Mint only issued a maximum of 17,500 £5 Brilliant Uncirculated 1986 dated gold coins for world-wide distribution.  This coin is numbered 00901.  The reverse depicts St. George horseback slaying the dragon, first used on United Kingdom gold coins in 1817.  The obverse bears the new effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The £5 sovereign weighs 39.94 grams, measures 36.02mm in diameter and is struck in 22-karat gold.
