This listing is  for an 1847  $10 Liberty  Eagle Gold coin.  NGC graded AU – 58 .   Nice gold coloration and a bit of remaining luster on this 160+ year old coin (can only hope we’ll look this good at 160 years of age!).  Surface defects are present, as would be expected.  Not as strong as other younger  AU-58 coins I’ve seen but I suspect allowance is made for this coins’ series and age.   Affordable and good  overall gold coin with  a mint year date that is early in the series  and an AU grading.  Over the past decade mint state gold coins have been  steadily appreciating  in price, year over year, due to both numismatic rarity  and precious metal value.   The continued rise in the price of gold  has led to dramatically increased  demand for graded gold coins, such as offered here,  among both collectors and investors.    NGC price guide valuation for this coin is $1,280.00Photos of this coins obverse and reverse have been provided.   COMMUNICATION: Questions regarding items listed or that may be available can be sent via eBay.
