In a process that spanned more than 100 years, the U.S. Mint took the original designs of Augustus Saint-Gaudens from the early 1900′s, and utilized modern technology to create the Ultra High Relief result he had originally desired. This one ounce coin was struck in .9999 24 karat gold and has a diameter of 27 millimeters and a thickness of 4 millimeters. This item also includes the original mahogany box, book and certificate of authenticity.
