Wow! This is a really great piece. The coin is a 1/10 oz. 24K Liberty Eagle Gold $5 coin which you can take from the mounting, due to a removeable piece of the bezel. The coin itself weighs 3.4 grams, for those of you who like to know what the gold is actually worth. Now for those of you interested in the aesthetic, jewelry design part — this bezel is for you! As seen in the picture the bezel cleverly comes apart so that the coin can be removed without damage … okay, so that’s pretty neat. BUT, once the coin is securely in the mounting, the inner bezel spins within the 14K Gold flutted outer bezel. This is just the neatest feature. I have seen many really great mounted gold coins, but the unique spinning design of the 14K yellow gold stunner is exceptional. The total piece has a weight of 8.9 grams, and measures 7/8″ in diameter and of course the coin is in uncirculated condition.
