The Mint of the United States is currently selling this gold coin for a price of $ 1,089.00 for collectors, probably hoping it will create a boost in sales. The coin is intended to be a collectible item that is made from pure 24 karat gold, and weighs a standard ounce. Rather a heavy coin, the Mint of the United States pulled drew on an earlier abandoned coin to re-create a currency that was intended for release in 1907, but never actually got off the drawing board
The 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin is already on sale in the United States Mint Online Catalog, and accept orders for the currency at a starting price of $ 1,089.00. They advertise that the coin will be ready for shipment in early February 2009, but they are already accepting payments from collectors who want to be at the forefront of owning a piece of history of the United States Mint. Money is obviously a bit ‘out of the price range of many people out there, but for the dedicated coin collectors in the population, this is certainly destined to become one of those must-have in the world of coin collecting.
